In April 2014 I went to Jamestown, New York as part of a group of artists from the UK, Sweden and the USA. We took part in group exhibitions, residencies, talks and lectures, and community projects under the title “Colonize”.
As my contribution to the exhibition, I stitched 200 dandelion seeds onto a genuine World War 2 British Army greatcoat. Dandelions are global colonisers, and here they represent the movement of people between the two countries.
